Abstract

Sayr al-Sālikīn is among the classical works of Syeikh ‘Abd al-Samad al-Falimbani. It comprises of four volumes which contain many hadīths, among which on hadīths of prayer. Writer only study one hundred sixteen (116) hadiths on the subject of prayer first constituent with approach to external criticism (al-Naqd al-Khārijiy). This study is to identify sources of hadīth, status of each hadīth, also explainations on each hadīth. This study is done by research in the library (library research) using the method of takhrīj namely to identify the sources of hadith, then writer referring to al-Marāji‘ al-Asliyyah (primary sources) as well as to al-Marāji‘ al-Thanawiyyah (secondary sources). To know the narrator in detail, writer referring to the books of rijāl al-Hadīth which contain theologians’ opinions hadīths. This study indicates that most hadīths are unacceptable (mardūd) : Namely 46 (39.7%) hadīth are valid / sahīh, 8 (6.9%) good / hasan, 23 (19.8%) weak / da‘īf , 1 (0.9%) very weak / da‘īf jiddan and hadīth mawdū‘/ false is 31 (26.7%). While hadīth which no his sources specificity because have not found is as much as (6.0%).
