Abstract

This study is a comparison analysis for outlining the Monarchy theories from the manuscript titled Nasihat al-Muluk written by Sheikh Hussin al-Kashifi pertaining to the practical of the reign system of Malay Monarchy in Malacca. The main focus refers to the structure, political and morality of governing organization including the functions of a monarch, officers and folks to the state. It also includes the importance of educational concept and legal aspect to the society at that period of time. The main purpose of this study is to foresee the influence of Islamic principle adopted from Sheikh Hussin al-Kashifi ideas, which is related to the reality of governing during the Malay Monarchy in Malacca. Besides, it is also an evidence to prove that the reign of Malay Monarchy in Malacca is a system which is based on the value of Islamic principle. Finally, this historiography study will use the library research methodology based on books, magazines, manuscripts, microfilm, seminar working paper etc and interviews held with experts in their fields relating to the research.
