Abstract
Kelantan is one of the famous states in Malaysia that have a lot of special education to culture side. Capital city of Kelantan, Kata Bharu still preserved their own culture identity. lnside it, the pure traditional characteristic of Kelantan' s Malay and it's still performed. This characteristic bas not change since pre-history time. Furthermore it creates various of dimension in their culture. When Islamic exist in an excellent century during its spreads time, it turns to a dramatic changes towards its development. The prove of Islamic influences can be seen in its art, which consists of syariah Islamiyah and the potential to explore the arts of Islamic elements. In this survey, the writer has done a research on the influences of Islamic arts on handicraft that offered at PBSK. PBSK is the right place due 10 its location. which situated al city centre known as Kola Bharu that can be seen by people around it. The research also focuses on several aspects which related to handicraft such as the status of PBSK as a premise trading spot and also an important place for 'dakwah' (educate and persuade people on Islamic ideas) Subsequently, survey has been done on an in general or in Islamic context. Then, characteristics and shapes of art that found are relevant and still have a relationship with syariah of Islam. Writer bas done a research on the history and the Islamic and influence of handicraft, the symbolic shape and pattern of handicraft. This is including the concept and influences Islamic and on the handicraft. Through this research, writer had summarized some problem about the Islamic arts at PBSK, type of handicraft and also the process of entering Islamic and to handicraft. As a result, the residents accepted this an. In order to perform this research, there are some words that can be points up to get an information and data. So, some methods were used such as collecting data method that performs via history, observation method, documentation method and interviewing method. Writer also uses analysis data such as inductive, deductive and comparative methods. During this research, writer found several role-playing by Islamic arts. The functions are: a) In order to accomplish the base of tauhid (monotheism) from the words Lailaha illa llah, which contain the meaning of Allah, is almighty. It is to build integration between internal and external subjective. These are the influences of arts. That is why the writer took a view from Sidi Gazalba that the integration is a process to ·produce a striving of survival, which perform because of Allah. So, the words "arts for human because of Allah" are produced. b) In an Islamic view, an is necessary for human because it is suitable with the nature of inventor who likes entertainment, enjoyable, laughing and playful. c) An is necessities of human such as the art of clothes to cover 'aurat'. art of mosque to pray, and art of weapon as a protection. d) It is a symbolism that people need to pray, thankful, and 'tawakkal'. e) It is a gift from Allah to human and very noble able. That gift is the resources of world, such as plant that have a lot of benefits to peoples. To ensure these Islamic arts, the usage of natural resources like plants could be adapted to produce commercial goods utility goods toward to syariah of Islam. As a conclusion, arts of handicraft have a close relationship with Islamic arts which the design is related to 'tauhid' to Allah that designed as a usage of decoration as long as comply with Islamic syari'ah. Besides it, the handicraft is actually a message of dakwah'. It is truly could give an awareness to the peoples that how amazing Allah's creatures.
