Abstract
Hydroxyapatite (HAp) is a well-known bioceramic material which is modifiable. The nanocomposite formation of metal and metal oxide with HAp and utilization for various applications have been provided and the number of publications is increasing from year to year. Metal and metal oxide supported HAp exhibit their activities as catalysts/photocatalysts, adsorbents, and electrochemical materials for such environmental sensor /monitoring. From many recorded publications, various distinctive features of the materials for their applicability are studied in this review.
