Abstract
Early Childhood Education According to al-Quran: It’s implementation at Pre School Education Centre in Triang, Pahang. Dissertation submitted to the Department of al-Quran and al-Hadith, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya session 2009/2010. The recent moral and conduct decadence particularly among the Malays needed a change and solution. The change and solution must be based to the holy Quran and Hadith started from the early education of the children. Henceforth, in the early stage of this research, the early childhood education was examined from the education aspects and methodology using the library research methodology. Then, the research continued by finding and analyzing the verses from the holy Quran to find the basis of early childhood education. Next. the selected verses from the Holy Quran were analyzed by comparing the views from selected Quranic scholars. Then a survey conducted to four selected early childhood education institution at the town of Triang, Pahang. The purpose of the survey was to examine the implementation of Quranic based education in their daily teaching and learning process. Using a scale form as a perimeter, the survey involved 117 pupil and 5 teaches. The researcher also managed to interviewed the 5 teachers involved directly in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The collected data then were analyzed by comparing the Quranic based early childhood education and the implementation in the reality of contemporary early education. Its purpose is to find the differences and the similarity between the four selected early childhood education institution. I can conclude from this research that the four selected early childhood education institution have implemented the basic of Quranic based early childhood education. But, there are still a few rooms and certain aspects that can be fix and upgrade by the teachers.
