Abstract

Research entitled Dakwah Management on Muslim Convert [Mualaf]: Research carried out at The Klang District Islamic Religious Office, Selangor Darul Ehsan focused on matters concerning Dakwah Management on Muslim Convert at The Klang District Islamic Religious Office, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The aim of this research is to identify the management and admistration activities which were carried out on Muslim Convert by the unit responsible on the matters such as education, welfare and others. In addition to this, this research also tends to identify the problems faced by the unit which managed the Muslim Convert and other parties which involved in the contribution of welfare of the Muslim Convert. Generally, the methodologies used in this research were Library Research and Field Research. Five sets of questionnaires were distributed to the 5 staff attached to the The Klang District Islamic Religious Office, Selangor Darul Ehsan, who handled the Muslim Convert affair and 92 sets of questionnaires were distributed to the Muslim Convert under the supervision of The Klang District Islamic Religious Office. Apart from the questionnaires, interviews were carried out with relevant authorities who managed the Muslim Convert. Observation was done during the implementation of educational and distribution programs. The result of the research shows that Dakwah Management on Muslim Convert covered all aspects such as the Fardu Ain education at Basic, Intermediate and Advance Levels, Financial Aid which include Self Support, Education, Leasing, Business, Marriage, Payment of Utility Bills and others. In general, most of the Muslim Convert satisfied with the various helps and supports given by the relevant authorities who dealed directly with them or other parties who were sensitive with their well being which most of the Muslim Convert having difficulty in understanding their new religion which is Islam. We can say that various parties tried their best to fulfill the needs of the Muslim Convert based on religious obligation and goodwill even though, many things needed to be done for the betterment of the mualaf in the future.
