Abstract
The main objective of this research is to get an insight of the career awareness of the Indian students in Port Klang. Apart from the above. this study also intends to identify: the difference in the level of career awareness among different gender and form (class ), the different state of career awareness based on parents occupation, the career awareness of the students based on their choice of occupation, the career awareness between pupils who choose realistic occupation and non realistic occupation, career awareness based on why a particular occupation was chosen. The case study involved 160 form 3 and form 4 samples. Two sets of instruments were utilised in this study. The first instrument is Career Awareness Inventory (Fadale 1974b ). This instrument was used to explore the level of career awareness among pupils. Questionnaires were also used as instrument. The questionnaires were devised to get demographic information, types of career choice and the reasons for choosing the occupation.
