Abstract
This study is a comparative study of the implementation of the special education programmes for the children with learning disabilities In Malaysia and in Japan. The study is based on observations carried out by the researcher both in Malaysia and in Japan. In brief this study touches on three major fields, that is, the curriculum of the programme for children with learning duties, and the roles of both professionals and parents in the implementation of the programmes.
