Abstract
This report describes the writer's research experience and findings while undertaking the MA course in Library and Information Studies at the School of Library, Archive and Information Studies (Henry Morley), University College London during the 1987/88 session. The bibliographic control of official publications in Britain and Malaysia was the substantive area of her study. The application of international bibliographic standards to Malaysiana was the subsidiary area.
