Abstract
Three main themes were discussed at this Seminar with the aim to highlight the demanding information needs of the rural community and how such needs could be met. These were: 1. Rural Libraries:services, leadershipand prospects; 2. Meeting the information needs of the rural community; and 3. Planningfor Library development in the ruralareas.
