Abstract
The sphere of visual art has been mostly transformed by the invention of AI technology, providing new ways and means to the education process and artistic craft to make the learning and teaching process more engaging and efficient. Credit to this absorption, however, are the added problems of originality, ethics and system adaptability. In this paper, the research approach using General Systems Theory (GST) is applied to quantitatively examine the implementation and impact of the AI technology in teaching visual art during the period of 2019-2024. The findings show that due to the adaptation of the learning process to individual peculiarities using AI-based adaptive learning systems and the usage of Generative Adversarial Networks to enhance the level of the creativity and engagement of the students, they can work on a wide variety of various types and forms of art and are enabled to receive an immediate response. In the meantime, one can identify such ethical problems that confront educational practices as the ownership rights to the copyright and the use of the AI tools.
