Abstract
The aim of this study is to prepare a functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) and use it for the removal of malathion pesticide from wastewater. The synthesized MWCNT exhibits excellent thermal and chemical stability and hence can be used as a very good adsorbent, compared to pure non-functionalized materials with a higher adsorbent capacity. Unlike previous studies, we also took into account the effect of dissolved organic matter in the solution.
