Abstract

The magnetic field applied on water is evaluated through three different intensities: 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20 T. The viscosity, total dissolved solids, hardness, and conductivity levels are researched. The purified water surface tension including viscosity is brought down due to magnetic effect. Due to magnetic effect, it is noticed increasing of activation energy and decreasing of water intramolecular energy. Gradual increase in advancing contact angle is obvious for the four treatments and average contact angle is noticed to be 0.262, 0.261, 0.295 for intensities 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 T, respectively, compared with tap water 0.249.
