Abstract
The five-coordinate SnIV atoms in the two crystallographically independent molecules of the title compound, [Sn(C4H9)2- (C19H13ClN2O3)], are in distorted cis-C2NO2Sn trigonalbipyramidal coordination environments. The tridentate dianion of the Schiff base, N0-[1-(5-chloro-2-oxidophenyl)- ethylidene]-3-hydroxy-2-naphthohydrazide, displays intermolecular O—H N hydrogen bonding, which stabilizes the overall compound.
