Abstract

The cadmium atom in the title compound, [Cd(C7H 4NO4)2(C6H6N 2O)2(H2O)2]·2H2O, lies on a center of inversion in an all-trans octa-hedral environment. In the crystal, the complex inter-acts with the uncoordinated water mol-ecules through O - H⋯O and N - H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a layered network.
