Abstract

This study discussed the implementation of da„wah to the non-Muslims in Singapore. The aims are to know the methods that were implemented by the Prophet SAW during the first three years of da„wah and the suitability of those methods in Singapore now. The organisation that is involved with the da‟wah of non-Muslims is The Muslim Converts Association of Singapore (Darul Arqam). The methods used in this research are library and field. Sets of questionnaire, interviews and observation were conducted to further meet the needs of the research methods. As many as 20 sets of questionnaire were distributed involving those who are keen to convert and those who recently converted at Darul Arqam. They were interviewed based on the da‟wah and education programmes that are conducted at Darul Arqam.. It is found that the implementation of da„wah was done through monthly, weekly, daily and modular programmes. Among the problems which were found include the lack of qualified and experienced teaching staffs and the problems of the da„wah management within the organisation. This research hopes to help in enhancement of da„wah programmes to the non-Muslims in Singapore.
