Abstract
Changes occur in a society. As such any social study has to take into consideration theories of changes. While theories of relations are a part of social change theories and this results in peaceful coexistence or conflicts. These changes also include relationships between races and different religious. The Position of Non-Muslims in the Socio-Political Changes In Malaysia Complies with the Fiqh Theory: Analysis to its Implementations, in the dissertation to explain the issues of non-Muslim's position, status and role in the changes that take place in Malaysia. This study is also clarifies the relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims in Malaysia. The position of non-Muslims is enshrined in the Malaysian Constitution and social system in Malaysia. As a result of the developments, there are questions and issues about their position in Syariah law perspectives. All these issue will then be justified by the fiqh methodology so as to find their significances are values from the Islamic perspectives, whether their position is consistent or otherwise with the Syariah law today.
This research also studies the factors that affect the position of non Muslims today. Empirically, the non-Muslims in general have equal sociopolitical freedom as the Muslims. In the following chapters I will discuss whether this socio-political freedom is temporary or permanent in nature. This dissertation will use the fiqh method that evaluates and justifies the factors that have been contributive to this phenomenon. In conclusion, this study attempt's to prove that Islam is capable of managing societies' problems. This is in reference to the non-Muslims position in socio-political changes where this phenomenon has come to pass in recent time.
