Abstract
"How Computer Execute Instruction" is a topic in the syllabus of Computer Application subject for trainee teacher in Darul Ehsan Islamic College. Previously this subject was taught using only the whiteboard and sometimes diagrams are used. But it is difficult to employ this method as this is an abstract topic. Therefore computer aided learning courseware was designed to aid students in studying this topic. The development process went through several stages such as analysis, design, development and evaluation. This paper will therefore focus on the formative evaluation phase of the development of the courseware. The outcome of the formative evaluation will be used to improve the quality of the courseware. The formative evaluation was conducted in stages, that is, the one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation and the field-test.
