Abstract
A research was done on 99 essays written by Form 3 students of Sek. Men. Keb. Sungai Besar. The aims of the research firstly was to identify the kinds of morphological, syntactical and spelling mistakes committed by the Form 3 students while composing. Secondly to observe the difference in the amount of morphological syntactical and spelling errors committed between Malay students and non-Malay students.
